A: Your mobility allowance is swapped for a lease on a brand new Vauxhall car. You choose the exact model you want and the payment is taken straight out of your mobility allowance every four weeks. For cars that cost less than your allowance, you get to keep the difference. You’re able to nominate someone to drive on your behalf, and you can also get a Vauxhall Motability car for someone who’s under 17. This gives anyone with limited mobility a way to keep their freedom.
A: You get:
A: For a three-year agreement, you get a total mileage allowance of 60,000 miles. For five-year agreements, the limit is 100,000 miles. Anything over the allowance is charged 5p per mile. If you’ve only driven under 15,000 miles, you may be able to keep the car for another one or two years for 20,000 miles per year.
A: Find the full list of the Vauxhall Motability cars available here. Models change every three months. The prices vary model to model. With cheaper leases you might get part of your mobility allowance back. More expensive models require an advance payment.
A: You can’t buy your car, but you have three options:
A: Return your Vauxhall Motability car in good condition and you can receive up to £600 back for a three-year lease. Keep your car in good condition (paintwork, interior, tyres etc.) and you’ll get a cheque in the post!
A: Only officially-nominated drivers can drive a Vauxhall Motability car for the sole benefit of the claimant. E.g. you could drive to the shops to get some shopping and pick up medication, among other daily routines.
A: The lead time on your new car varies case by case. Once we’ve helped you to finalise your application, we’ll let you know how may weeks until your delivery. You won’t receive your new car if you already have a Vauxhall on Motability until the end of your agreement.
A: You need a valid reason to change your Motability car early. In order to change models, you should cancel your current lease and apply for another agreement. Doing so, you incur a £250 admin fee and waive your good condition bonus too. Cancelling your agreement more than three times in seven years may affect future eligibility.
A: We've have a team of Motability specialsits at our Pentagon dealerships. You can give us a ring on 0330 390 6849 for a quick chat, visit your local Vauxhall dealership or book in for a video chat appointment. We're more than happy to run through any parts of the scheme with you.
